Serving In His Name

The ministries’ main goal is to help those in need around Coastal Georgia, the state, the country and the world, while showing them the love of Jesus. While meeting the needs of others, we will strive to teach His children how He can and will use them to serve His people and grow His kingdom through mission trips and projects. Although, it is very important to us that we meet the needs of His people, it is equally important that His children also return home from the trip/project with the burden to help the “least of these” in their own community.  We will show them how they can serve the “least of these” while showing His love, on a personal level and as a team.

Since the ministry has very limited funds to regularly help individuals in need, we have been strategically building relationships/partnerships with other ministries and organizations that do have the funds.  Mtn2Sea works with these by way of providing free labor to handle work projects they can not afford to pay contractors to do.  We use volunteer mission groups (click Mission Trips and Retreats for group info) to do construction, landscaping, and other projects that in most cases would have to wait on funds or not get done at all. The ministry does help many individuals in need personally. However, we have found that we can be more effective helping those in need by helping those who are in the “helping business”. 

The ministry will steadily increase the number of mission groups that come each year to work locally, until it hits 50 groups annually or until we can establish Base Camp.  Base Camp is the camp that we are currently trying to secure land for.  This will allow us have 1000 participants in the summer and other groups throughout the year to come and serve in the area. The ministry has many contacts across the country and the world and will continue to partner with these organizations to serve those in need.  Whether it is feeding the hungry in another land or across town or whether it is helping with a construction project in another country or painting at ministry in our own county, God has not only shown us the need, but has given us the abilities to meet them.  The only thing that prevents us from helping “the least of these” in a larger way is the ministries lack of funds.

If God has ever given you the desire to help those in need, but you can not physically go, please consider going through us.  With your gifts to the ministry we can meet more of the needs that He shows us each day. The ministry has so little funds that just getting to the need prevents us from helping a lot of times. Whether it is buying a plane ticket to travel across the country or world to do disaster relief work or just getting gas to go across town to help a widow lady in need, travel expenses are one of our major expenses.  One of the hardest things we face in the ministry is telling those in great need we can not help, because we can not afford to.  If you would like to know more about the ministries finances please visit Financial Information or How You Can Help if you would like to help us do His work and serve His people.
